About the role

Every tenant has their own database and, for many of them, their own domain and certificate. That makes deploys, backups and restores more interesting than they would be on a single database product.

What you will do

  • Own the deployment pipeline and make releases routine rather than an event.
  • Run backups so restores are tested, timed and trusted.
  • Manage certificates and custom domains at scale.
  • Build monitoring that tells us before a customer does.
  • Write the runbook for anything you would otherwise be woken up for.

What we are looking for

  • Three or more years in an infrastructure or platform role.
  • Strong Linux, Docker and CI, and you can script your way out of a repetitive task.
  • You have operated a production database and restored one under pressure.
  • Comfortable with Cloudflare or an equivalent edge.

Nice to have

  • Multi tenant or per customer infrastructure experience.
  • You have run a managed service where the customer expects somebody to answer.
