Senior Full-Stack Developer

About the role

The platform is a Laravel application with hundreds of tenant migrations behind it. That is eight years of real business logic, and it is the product's most valuable asset. We are moving it to a headless API with a React front end, one portal at a time, without a single customer losing data.

This role is for someone who finds that interesting rather than alarming.

What you will do

  • Design and build features across the Laravel API and the Next.js front end.
  • Work inside a multi tenant architecture where every schema change touches paying customers.
  • Write additive migrations. We never drop or rename a column a customer database already has.
  • Review other people's code properly, and have yours reviewed the same way.
  • Take a feature from a rough description to something running in production.

What we are looking for

  • Five or more years building web applications, with real PHP and Laravel experience.
  • Solid MySQL. You can read a slow query plan and do something about it.
  • Comfortable in a modern React codebase with TypeScript.
  • You have worked on a system where other people's money was involved.

Nice to have

  • Multi tenant experience, particularly a database per tenant.
  • You have moved a monolith towards an API without stopping the business.
