Share your products with a QR code

Showcase gives one warehouse a QR code. Print it, and anyone who scans it opens your product list with your prices on their own phone. It is what a business gets instead of a full online store, so it does not need one.

Open Channels in the sidebar, then Showcase. Each location gets its own code and its own product list, so start by deciding which one you are printing for.

• Pick the location under Which location. If the list is empty you have no warehouses yet, and the screen offers Add a warehouse.
• Type a Title on the sheet. Your shop name is the usual answer.
• Type a Line underneath, for example Scan to browse our range.
• Choose a Code colour. There are four presets, Dark teal, Teal, Black and Charcoal, or type your own under Or choose your own.
• Tick Put your logo in the middle if you want it. The control is disabled until a logo is uploaded, and Add a logo takes you to the Branding screen.
• Press Create the code. If a code already exists for that location the button reads Create it again instead.

Once it exists you get Download, Print this sheet, Copy the link and Open the public page.

Catalogue settings holds two switches, and both matter more than they look.

• Show products that are out of stock. With it off, anything at zero is hidden. With it on, shoppers see it and know you carry it.
• Ask for a name and a number before an order. Without this, an order arrives with no way to contact whoever placed it.

Changes are not saved as you type. A bar appears reading You have unsaved changes, with Discard and Save changes.

• The colour is refused. Showcase blocks a colour too pale to scan once printed. The message is that the colour is too light to scan reliably. Choose something darker, because you find out otherwise after the printing bill.
• You get an SVG instead of a PNG. The screen explains that the server could not make a PNG. The code scans the same and prints at any size, but it carries no colour and no logo.
• Copy the link does nothing. Some browsers refuse it. The message tells you to select the link and copy it by hand.
• The link opens nothing. That is the unfinished public page described at the top of this article, not a fault on your account.
